PICTURES, AND A QUICK WORD ABOUT ADVERSITY

My mom (pregnant with me) visiting my dad who was playing semi pro ball in Canada

ME!

Home run derby finals, Cooperstown NY.  99 teams in this 1 week tournament, one player from each team gets to participate in the home run derby.  I was so honored to be selected.  I hit 3 home runs on 5 swings to qualify for the finals.  I tied for 2nd place in the finals hitting 4 home runs from 10 swings!

Semi final game, Cooperstown NY.  Thousands of people in the stands and watching nation wide on live streaming.  Shane Veeder on the mound.  The team I faced scored over 40 runs in their last two games they played.  Coach put the ball in my hand with the utter most confidence in me.  I did not let them down.  With two rain delays, my dad calling pitches, I held the hitters to only 3 runs in 6 innings.  I went 4-0 on the week, hit 7 home runs, and was very proud to get my team to the Championship game, where we lost, but I was the only hitter to get a hit off of Derek Dickerson, who would later be my teammate many times.   Out of 99 teams, not bad!

Proud dad after the game.

My family.  Yes, I'm the oldest of 5.

Junior high, and already 6 foot tall.  I was the only sprinter at Cinco Ranch Junior High to quailfy for a solo sprinting event at district finals, where I took 7th place running the 400 in 58 seconds.

Shane Veeder is the only baseball player to be spotlight

The last game of the season, Cinco Ranch Vs. Katy.  Shane did not start, but he came in to help out his teammate who was in trouble.  The score was 6-0.  Shane held Katy 5 innings scoreless, the game was tied, then Shane gave up 1 run for the loss in the bottom of the 7th.  Quick video of one strike out.

At the same time Shane was nammed to the Sophomore Sunbelt All Stars, we had a huge dissapointment in the Veeder Family.  He had a minor injury to his left shoulder due to football, and it required an arm sling for 2 weeks.  He had a minor shoulder separation.  During that time, he would take his arm out of the sling and say, "man my elbow is tight".  We let him rest and rehab 8 weeks to make sure his shoulder was completely healed.  Shane was feeling very strong from the rest.  His very first time back on the mound and "letting it go" he tore his ulnar ligament.  Tommy Johh followed.

I am currently under the care of one of the top doctors in Houston, Dr. Lowe.  I go to rehab 3 days a week.  I run everyday and do lower body weights.  I do upper body weights under the care of my rehab physical theropist.  ADVERSITY DOES NOT EFFECT ME, IT MAKES ME STRONGER!  I have a commitment to coming back my senior year, and being the starting ace just like I always have been, I will have a great year, and I will play college baseball.

Most coaches know, statistics state that an elbow following Tommy John is actually healthier than a regular elbow.  It is very very rare to ever have a problem again with that ligament.

Thank you very much for considering me enough to stop by my website.  I am very eager to speak with you regarding intention to play for your college.
